How Do I Get Page Title To Print in Footer?

  i cant seem to get <?php the_title(); ?> to print on the footer. It just is blank. tags do print like <?php the_title(); ?>, but i cant get <?php the_title(); ?> to print. any suggestions? all i am trying to do is get page title to print out on the page in the footer.

  If you’re working with wp-title, then you are self-hosted and in the wrong forum. Head over to http://wordpress.ORG/support/ as that is where self-hosted blogs are supported. Our software here is a modified multi-user version and we do not have access to any of the underlying files.
