How do I get post slider to appear in pictorico theme?

I can’t get post slider to appear at the top of my site with pictorico theme.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Me neither, however, Sheenaphelps2 – I can see you did it? – My problem is that there is no featured “menu” where I can choose Featured Content as explained at http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/pictorico/

it is http://www.raw-consult.net – and I downloaded the version, from wordpress – perhaps, this download version needs the latest version?

I finally figured it out. I went to dashboard>Appearance>featured content> then I chose a tag that I wanted to use for my featured posts. ( I used “Header”) Make sure to SAVE the tag because I think that is what I was doing wrong initially. Then once you tag your posts with your chosen tag they will automatically appear in the header. Hope this helps! :)

Did you install it “on wordpress.org” or did you download the theme?

it seems that the confusion stems from whether we are talking about the dashboard at foobar.wordpress.com OR a dashboard in a downloaded theme running on a non-wordpress server.
i have a similar problem to “avivson” dashboard>Appearance>featured content
just doesn’t appear as a menu choice.
the “deep link” is of no help

this is a show stopper for me – what a pity as its a great theme and perfect for my needs.

Dashboard>Appearance>Customise>FeaturedContent and then tag “header”, save it, then tag your post to match. if another finds out how to get the posts in the header ASWELL as the square boxes please let me know!
