How do i get posts to run in reverse order
-
I can not get my posts to run in reverse order.I have added ?order=asc to my earliest post. Sometimes it works and then next time I open it has reverted. I have trashed some of my posts to simplify things. Didn’t help. One thing WP Support says is I could change the posting date. But it doesn’t say which order to put them in -reverse or other. It says to clear cache and cookies. But I can’t find out what a cache or a cookie is. I have followed the support instructions to no avail.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You cannot reverse the order of post display by clicking a link. Blogs are essentially a reverse chronological order publishing tool wherein the most recent published post will display on top. You cannot change this order on a free hosted WordPress.com blog. It’s designed to serve your visitors as they come to read the most recent posts and will not be inclined to trawl through hundreds of posts to locate it.
See here for the option of creating a book-like structure > http://en.support.wordpress.com/write-a-book/ Perhaps that will work for you.
Or you could use a single sticky post as an index page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-visibility/#sticky-posts
Or you can falsify every date-stamp before publishing.

You cannot reverse the order of post display by clicking a link or by using a shortcode. Shortcodes are for display purposes only when used on Pages or in Posts. They do not reorder existing or future posts.

[display-posts] shortcode lets you list posts of a specific category, author, or tag » Full instructions http://en.support.wordpress.com/display-posts-shortcode/
-
[archives] shortcode options ought to work http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/#customization

OK I get that now, but why are the instructions there in the first place telling me how to do it?
