How do I get published on “right now in tags?”

How do I get my posts to appear in the “right now in tags” section of WordPress. (The column on the right hand side of the WordPress.com homepage)?

I found the link from a previous forum post.
That is simply the beginning of a list of tags that wordpress.com users are using on their posts. If you use the tags that are listed in that list, then your posts will show in those global tags pages. That is assuming you are not using too many tags or categories. Due to tag spammers, wordpress.COM has a limit on the total number of tags + categories that you can use and still appear on the global tags pages. The number that staff has mentioned is 12 total. Example, 2 categories + 10 tags = 12 total. Blame those that abuse and game the system for the limit.

Many thanks Richard.Having selected a tag for the post, will pushing “update” (a) re publish the post to the tag section or do I have to re write the post?; (b) guarantee a spot in the published tag page (e.g. Christianity)?

No, if you add a tag to the post and then save update the post, it should show up. Do be aware that with popular tags such as Christianity, there may be thousands of post per day, so your post will most likely get bumped down onto lower pages very quickly. Once when I posted to a popular tag, but the time I had gotten to the tags page, my post was already three pages down.
