How do I get rid of a bad domain name?
-
When I origionally opened this blog I didn’t notice that the url was spelled wrong: writingthroughthekeyhold.wordpress.com
it should be writingthroughthekeyhole. wordpress.com I have opened a new page with the correct url but it keeps going back to the old address. How can I delete the old, incorrect address? This is a free domain so I don’t need any money back. And I am now showing a new page called MY Blog that I didn’t set up. Sorry, but I”m confused. Help?
Thanks,
Pam PayneThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Now you have the blog with the correct URL you can make the other blog private and use it as a backup blog or for testing purposes or you can delete it.
To change blog visibility go to > Settings > Reading. See the guide here http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/privacy-settings/
You must be logged in under the exact same username account that created a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.
