How do I get rid of a blog stalker?

I realise that blogging makes me automatically public but I have a man who has been stalking me since 1990 – and he is following my blog and now sending me messages. Can anything be done to block his messages as obviously we can’t block him following my blog. HELP!

Of course you can prevent him from following your blog, but you can’t do it via a WP function. You call law enforcement. It should be easy to get a court order to make him stop; you can do the paperwork yourself. And the police actually appreciate getting the heads up on that.
You can use your email functions to reject his emails. It’s built into virtually all email systems nowadays.

He does not have my email – all his communications come through as comments on my blogs (on WP and when I guest blog) as well as on Twitter. Thankfully he’s not in my city and because all my social media have different locations (a precaution specifically because of him) he doesn’t know where I actually live.

does this, technically qualify as stalking? because its the definition that tangles me up – as sent for moderation approval to me from WP:
“I have been trying to see you for years, I HIRED PEOPLE TO FIND YOU, but I still can not even get your E- mail address.”
