How do I get rid of ads on my blog?
-
I have a 14-day trial of a premium ($99) account. This is should be ad-free, yes?
However, I have ads on the blog? What do I do now?
My blog is thegoodpage.net.

I don’t see any ads at http://thegoodpage.net/
Would you please take a screenshot of the ads you’re seeing and upload it via Media -> Add New in your blog’s Dashboard so we can take a look?
Here’s how to make a screenshot:
Please note that it’s possible for ads to appear in your browser that were *not* placed there by WordPress.com. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.
These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions.

A screenshot of the ads is in my Media Library: Filename: AdOnTheGoodPageChrome-5.
Thanks.

Using the information from the wikimedia blog about ads, I got rid of the ads on Chrome by removing one extension. However, the blog said:
Disabling browser add-ins is a good starting point to determine the source of these types of ads. This does not necessarily fix the source of the problem either, as malware may make deep changes to your operating system. If you’re comfortable attempting a malware scan and removal yourself, there are various spyware/malware removal tools. Popular and well-reviewed solutions include Ad-Aware and Malwarebytes. But be aware that these types of tools may also bundle software, or leave your computer in an unusable state.
How do I know if I have malware that made deep changes to my operating system?
Thanks. -
Yeah, those definitely aren’t from us, notice the “Ad by Shopper Helper Pro”.
If you have removed the offending extension, you should be fine since you’re on a Mac. There isn’t any system-level malware for this like there is on Windows-based PCs.
