How do I get rid of an ad that mysteriously appeared on my home page?
-
I logged onto the site today and found an ad had mysteriously dropped itself into my home page. It’s in the “Home Middle Left” body section of the homepage, right under the post headline “Are You a Slave to Your Kids?”. This ad box has never been here before and it severely disrupts the symmetry of my carefully-designed home page.
I suspect that this may be a bug, because it showed up at the same time as a malfunction with the site’s header. I was able to fix the header issue in the CSS, but I can’t fix this problem with the ad. I am using the Modern News theme with numerous customizations.
I have uploaded a screenshot of the home page, with the errant ad circled, to http://godmoneyme.com/ad-error-screenshot/
The regular URL for the home page is http://www.godmoneyme.com
Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
Thanks,

Howdy,
I’m checking with the WordAds folks for clarification on the placement. I, or my colleague from WordAds, will respond to you in this thread soon.
Thanks!

Any progress on fixing this issue? The problem persists and I am becoming impatient. It’s been four day since I reported the issue, with no progress.

Hope you had a good weekend.
The ad shouldn’t be placed there. The Ads team is discussing the best long-term resolution for that particular theme. I’ve pinged them to ask for a status update on their conversation.
Thanks for your patience.

Howdy again,
They’re still discussing the long-term resolution, but they’ve removed the front-page ad for your theme so the ad won’t be in that widget space moving forward.
If you have any questions or need anything else, please let me know. Thanks again for your patience.
