  • Hi there,

Are you speaking of the widgets page at https://tricia9lynne.wordpress.com/wp-admin/widgets.php?

Inactive widgets are widgets that used to be active on your site, but that were removed at some point. Rather than completely deleting them, WordPress then saves those in the Inactive Widgets section so that, should you want to use a widget again in future, you can just restore it instead of having to recreate it from scratch.

If you don’t want anything listed there, expand the Inactive Widgets section, click on a widget, click the three dots in the toolbar that appears, and select either “Remove legacy widget” or “Remove block”. You can also hold in the Shift key to select multiple widgets, and remove them all at once.

Just keep in mind that once you remove a widget from the Inactive list, there’s no way to restore it again.
