Hello there,
We need to see what you are talking about so please post the link for the blog you are referring to.widgets are all found here > Appearance > Themes
and they are removed by dragging them out of the sidebar box and dropping them into the Available Widgets box. -
@imbeth You can remove the Meta widget by customizing the widgets in your sidebar. Just add in all of the widgets you wan to keep in Appearance > Widgets.
See http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/ for more info. about widgets.

Here’s my link: http://mengenaliyesus.wordpress.com/
I basically want a place to post these files, so I don’t need the meta links.
Thanks,

Thanks for the link. When you haven’t activated any widgets for your sidebar in Appearance> Widgets, then do be aware that each theme displays its own default set of sidebar items. Once you activate any widget, the default set is canceled as it’s over-ruled by your choices. If you have experience any difficulties then this post will be useful > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/09/28/the-no-widgets-paradox/
Happy blogging :) -
If you would like to link your blog to your username it’s easy to do. Dashboard > Users > Your Profile. Then scroll down to where it says ‘Website‘ and fill in the address of your blog and then click ‘Update Profile‘.
