How do I get rid of pop up spam adverts on my blog?

  I have been blogging for four and a half years but recently people keep complaining about spam adverts for sainsburies gift cards and iPhones on my blog. I am losing followers and readers and people are sick of it.
  How can I stop these spam adverts? And why are they siddently appearing now?
