How do I get rid of spam referrals?

  I’m trying to accurately gauge how many hits my blog posts are getting, but every day there are junk or spam addresses the window that supposedly indicates where referrals to my blog are coming from. What are these these are spam addresses and wht do they show up on my referral list?
