How do I get rid of the 'comment' functionality that appears on every page?

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve just published my site. For some reason a comment field appears on every single ‘page’ so it must be in the template somehow but I can’t find a way to delete. I’ve tried the advice given in your standard Q&A but I only get the option to manage comments for posts, not for pages.
    Can you please help?
Thank you in advance, BR Ulrika

Hi, here is the fast way:
Go to your Pages -> All Pages -> select pages for disabling comments -> select Edit from the Bulk Actions drop down -> click Apply -> select Do no allow from the Comments drop down -> click Update.

Please note that you have to do it in your old WP Admin.

While creating or editing a page in the new Beep Beep Boop editor you can click Advanced Settings and uncheck Allow Comments to disable comments on this page.

While creating or editing a page in the old editor you can click Screen Options (in upper right corner) and check Discussion, then scroll down and uncheck Allow comments to disable comments on this page.
