How do I get rid of the dotted line under images?

  • Unknown's avatar

I am not very savvy at this so you’ll have to pardon me if I get any lingos wrong. There is a dotted line under all the images in my blog… seems to have something to do with the link. Do you know how I get rid of it? It seems to only show up sometimes on Macs and always on PCs. Especially if my mouse hovered over the picture.

Any thoughts would be VERY appreciated. Thanks!!!

That’s a feature of the theme your using, which applies that style to all links, images as well as text. You have three options, I think: 1) Switch to another theme with different styling; 2) Change your style of image uploading so that the image doesn’t link to a file or page; 3) Get the CSS upgrade and change the way links are displayed for the theme you’re using.

That’s how that theme displays images linked to the file. If you don’t want them linked (the one I clicked on isn’t much larger than shown in your blog) when you upload, choose link to none instead of file.

I’m on Digg 3 Column and sometimes I get underlines in light blue (link sign), but if I switch to html instead of visual in the editor, I can delete them. I’m not very tech savy so I can’t say why that works, nor can I say it would work for you.
