How do I get rid of the new editor?
-
So I got sucked into clicking on a new editor and now I can’t switch back! Please tell me there is a way to switch back without paying for plugins! There is no option to switch back that I can see. Have they taken that away, forcing you to upgrade?
I just cannot understand how the new editor works. How do I add images? The old editor was so easy to use. I am tearing my hair out here. I have used wordpress for 20 years. Sadly, if there is no solution, I will have to go elsewhere and I’m really angry about that.

Seems I can’t edit my post?
That is not the blog I needed help with actually. (I did not add that.) It’s simqueen.wordpress.com. -
Hi,

Thanks for responding with how to find the Classic editor “block”. How intuitive is that? NOT
BUT how do I add images using the Classic editor? I don’t understand this stupid block system. Why must I use an additional “image” block when I used to so easily just insert an image?! Too many clicks! -
BUT how do I add images using the Classic editor
This is difficult to explain in words, so I recorded a quick video to show you how to add images while staying within the classic block.
You can view it at this link: https://d.pr/v/pMZqvc
Also I did the same using blocks only (no classic block, just the standard ones) and it did not seem to take more clicks for me than using the classic block.

I know the new block editor is unfamiliar, but I’m hoping you will give it a try, it’s quite powerful once you get used to it. Hope this helps!
