How do I get rid of the "Not Found… Apologies, but no results…" line?

    Hello,
my site is: fluerish.com. On the “welcome page,” I have a slider of 7 pictures. I bought the Maya Shop theme so I can do ecommerce. Towards the bottom, there is a line with a search bar that reads:

    Not Found
Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.

I’ve read about many others that have had this problem. I would follow the directions to remedy this, except that I don’t want it to be a blog page, & I can’t make it a static page if there is a slider there. I tried creating a new page & calling it a Home Page, but I don’t know how to create that same slider content for that, or any other page, other than that Welcoming Page. Need help please. I don’t really, or haven’t really messed with html, or coding before either, but can give it a try if that’s what it takes to take away that message at the bottom of my Welcome Page.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

You’ve reached support for the free sites hosted at WordPress.com. Your site is a self-hosted installation of WordPress, available at http://wordpress.org/.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities.

You can find support for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress here:

You might also contact support at the theme shop where you bought your theme to see if they have some suggestions for how to set this up.
