How do I get rid of the unwanted, unpaid adverts that are popping up on my posts

There are ads; for Gucci, for diabetes (on a post I have up now about desserts!!- that is just WRONG) Who is putting these on my blog and how do I stop it? I had no idea because as the administrator I was not seeing them, but my readers pointed it out to me.
I would like to block all adverts ASAP- how do I do this?
