How do I get rid of the white box on the home page of the sela theme?

  Hi,

  I am using the Sela theme and really love the layout and don’t want to change themes, however, I do not like the white box that says “Home” on the home page. I just want it to be the background picture for the home page. How can I get rid of the box?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there.

  Great choice of theme. I love Sela. :)

  It’s possible for you to remove that white box on the home page with some custom CSS. If you’re not familiar with CSS, it’s a coding language that’s used across the web to change the appearance of websites. Here at WordPress.com, it’s possible to add custom CSS to change parts of your theme’s design:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#custom-css

  To add custom CSS, you firstly need to go to My Site in WordPress.com then choose the option to Customize In the left sidebar. You’ll reach what’s known as the WordPress.com Customizer:

  https://wordpress.com/customize/bexcollections.wordpress.com

  From here, click on the CSS tab. Below the introductory text in the resulting editor, copy and paste the following CSS:

  .front-page-content-area .with-featured-image {
    display: none;
  }

  This will hide the white box from your home page. :)
