Current Terms of Service:
11. Attribution. Automattic reserves the right to display attribution links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com,’ theme author, and font attribution in your blog footer or toolbar. Footer credits and the WordPress.com toolbar may not be altered or removed regardless of upgrades purchased.
May I remove the Admin Bar, credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the Admin Bar (the dark bar that appears at the top of WordPress.com sites when logged in) as well as credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable.

@ngozinzei, you are allowed to restyle the footer credits to better fit with your design as long as they remain readable. You can also add text, like a copyright, to the footer credits. If you need help restyling or adding to the existing footer credits, post back here and we would be happy to help with that.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply. How do i restyle the existing footage credit and how do i add a copyright text to the footer or sidebar?
-
Hi, let’s start with this. Currently the color of the footer credits is pretty dark and they don’t stand out too much. The following removes the bold styling from them and then adds a copyright above with styling to make the copyright stand out more. See what you think.
.site-info { font-weight: normal; } .site-info:before { content: "This is my Copyright statement."; color: #eee; font-weight: bold; font-size: 110%; padding-bottom: 10px; }
