How do I get "sharing" and "publicize"?

Do you have to be on a particular version of WP to get the “sharing” options so one can connect to Facebook and etc w/ posts.

My dashboard does not show the options shown in any of the support pages about these features–and none mention that it is version specific. I’m on 3.3.1.

I found my answer: It is the confusing difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org and how strangely one ends up seeing info about one when you think you’re on the site for the other.

If you are a .org user you’re SOL re: “sharing” and “publicize”. It’s only available as a .com user/account holder. There’s some plug ins, but obviously clunky options compared to what’s described for .com.

    WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
