    how do i get snippets on google for my recipes? I would like to know a way without a plugin and free at all costs.

    Hi there,

    For Google to show a rich snippet of your recipe posts (in their search results) your data needs to be structured in a very specific way. Typically you need the help of a plugin to do this for you, but if you format your recipes using our Recipe Shortcode this will automatically format your post and create the structured data that Google requires.

    Since the Recipe Shortcode is something you can use for free, I would recommend trying that first. You may however find that you have more customization options if you use a structured data plugin instead.
