How do I get sticky posts to show photo on front static page in Suburbia theme?

  The theme Suburbia allows for sticky posts. Even if I mark it as sticky, it won’t show on my static front page with photo and some text, or no text as it does on the theme example. Help! I want to make what looks like a gallery to click and go to a post.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Stickies show on the main posts page, not on a static page. If you want the default look of Suburbia on your homepage, you need to publish posts (not necessarily stickies), and revert to the option front page displays -> your latest posts (in Settings > Reading).
