How do I get the blogs-I-follow widget to behave?

I’ve read all the relevant help materials, but I can’t get them to work. I do get the “Blogs I Follow” widget head, but that’s it. For one thing, I don’t see where you can enter text of any kind (let alone say what the individual blog title is), and the two blogs I follow aren’t listed beneath the heading, though five others are that I don’t want to list, including mine. What do I do? Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Howdy!

Here’s how Blogs I Follow is working on your site and how to adjust it.

You can adjust the title in your Customizer. Instead of “Blogs I Follow” your readers can see whatever you want. Your title is just set to the default:

Once you enable that, you don’t have to type in any text for blogs. Rather, the widget randomly selects blogs from the “Blogs I Follow” list in your Reader. You can check what blogs you’re currently following (or add more!) here:

    https://wordpress.com/following/edit/

The blogs currently showing like your own, and “Longreads blog” are blogs added by default in your Reader. You can remove those blogs at that link as well. Once you add a blog to that list, it can be grabbed by the “Blogs I Follow” widget.

If you want a specific list of blogs to always appear, instead of grabbing blogs from your Follow list, your might prefer to use the Links widget, or customize a Text widget, not use “Blogs I Follow.”

    Best,

    -Alex G.
