How do I get the full dashboard back?
-
Very little shows under screen options and the dashboard only shows 2 items – profile and personal settings. There’s no place to post, no place to add widgets, etc. Going to the blog, it says it can’t find the page, either. going to screen options gives me Show on screen what’s hot, screen layout with number of columns, admin preferences blue or gray, and the checkbox for always use HTTPS when visiting admin pages. There’s no dashboard for themes, appearance, etc. What do I do now?
Thank you
Judith

Well for ashara1934, your blog is a wordpress.ORG one, and so you should go over to http://wordpress.org/support for assistance, you may have to create an account to post there.
And for fossyatra, you can view your dashboard here: http://fossyatra.wordpress.com/wp-admin

I discovered I was in the global dashboard and that I have to access the blog dashboard from the blog. Now if I could only get the home page to show I’d really be happy. Still not very smart about the blog, but happy.

Ashara1934, the blog you’ve put up in this thread, is a wordpress.ORG self-hosted site, and this is the wordpress.COM support forum. If you want help on how to get the home page to show you’ll need to go to http://wordpress.org/support

danielisreading – I go to wordpress.com to access my blog – doesn’t that mean it’s a .com and not an .org?

Well http://www.writersblg.com is a wordpress.ORG blog, unless you have another blog, we can’t give support. I’m not sure what the global dashboard looks like for someone with a wordpress.ORG blog, but since you can use Jetpack to link it to your wordpress.com account, I’d say there’s some link to your blog. But your blog is definitely a wordpress.ORG one.
