How do i get the info above the welcome deleted?

I am so new to this and have signed up for WordPress because of a college class. i was following a tutorial and pressed something to try and add a ‘Blog’ to the Welcome and About Me. It ended up posting above my welcome and I need it removed. My assignment is due tomorrow. HELP!! :)

Hi there,
By default, your site is set up as a “blog” so the homepage is your “feed” of blog posts. That is why the two blog posts you have created appear on your homepage.
instead of blog posts, I think you want to instead recreate them as “pages” here: https://wordpress.com/pages/
unlike blog posts (which show up in a feed, one on top of the other) pages can be displayed individually, so you could set your “welcome page” as your homepage, for example.
Once you have created your pages (instead of blog posts) you can set Welcome to be your homepage by following the steps here: https://wordpress.com/learn/bonus-round-get-a-home-page/
