How do I get the link to previous post next to the date?

  I looked at appereance and settings and I can’t find it. But I’ve seen other blogs with linkbacks to previous posts and theirs was above the title, next to the date or under the date.

  Could someone please help me with this?

  This is theme dependent and typically not something that can be added or changed without access to the underlying theme files, and we do not have that access here at wordpress.COM.
