I know how to get the shortlink when using a browser but while using the iOS app in my iPad I see no way to copy a short link. Is it possible to do this?

Hi there!
There isn’t currently a way to select a page’s shortlink directly within the iOS app. Adding a way to achieve this is something that has been suggested to our app developers and will be considered for future releases, although I’m not able to give a definite date.
While testing, I did find a way to view the shortlink for a page in your iPad: On the editor for a page in the app, you can choose the eye icon in the bottom left to preview and then view the shortlink via My Sites in the Admin bar as per this guide:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/shortlinks/#shortlink-from-admin-barIt’s worth noting that, although you’re able to view the shortlink this way, it isn’t actually possible to select the link in the Admin bar. I’ve gone ahead to report this bug back to our app developers and I’ll let you know if I hear back from them on a fix.
If you have any other questions or feedback on this then please don’t hesitate to let me know. I’ll be happy to share feedback to our developers.

Hi Ivor.
I’ve spoken to our apps team a bit more since my last reply. They don’t currently have plans to make the shortlink selectable from preview mode, however, they’re aware of the need for an easier to grab a post’s URL/shortlink from within the app and this will be considered for future releases. As mentioned before, I’m not able to give a definite date on that.
Let me know if you have any questions or feedback around that. I’ll be happy to help further.
