How do I get the Twenty Twelve theme to show featured image?
-
I have been trying to figure out how to get my featured image to display when posting to Facebook but have been unable to do it. I found instructions online but after doing this – “load up functions.php in your theme editor. At the very bottom of the file, add the following code snippet, which adds the functionality for featured images:
<?php add_theme_support( ‘post-thumbnails’ ); –
I am unable to figure out how to do this:
Now that you’ve added the capability, you just need to tell WordPress where to load the image and how to display it.
Using the theme editor, load up single.php and find the line that looks like the following. This is the line that displays the post content:
<?php the_content(‘Read more »’); ?>
how do you load up a single.php?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Your site is a wordpress.ORG software install being web hosted by Hostgator.
I’m sorry but you are posting to the wrong support forum. We cannot help you here at wordpress.COM because that site is not hosted here, our support docs do not apply to it, and we do not provide support for sites we do not host.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
