How do I get web site unique visitor statistics
-
My Stats is helpful, bit I would like to get counts of unique visitors on any available time frame – daily, weekly, etc. Page views help, but we cannot really tell how many times one visitor will hit our landing page. This is a static page, so post counts don’t tell much. Thanks.

Hi there,
You can view your stats by day, week, or month, by clicking your preferred option at the top next to “At A Glance.”
Even though the stats do not track unique visits, they should still be really useful to you. For example, you can view which pages are getting the most traffic on any given day, which can be useful in a lot of ways even if you don’t have an actual blog on your site. One nice use of that is to determine if people are finding new information you may have posted, such as your “Current Happenings” page.
Stats are also great to learn what search terms are driving traffic to your site, and where they are ending up (especially if they aren’t going to your homepage). Sometimes that information can lead you to reconsider some of your content to make your site more search engine and user-friendly, by making the things people are actually looking for more prominent on your site.
You can read more about what’s included in Stats at http://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/
