How do I get WordPress to transfer subscribers to new blog?

    I am trying without luck to have WordPress transfer my subscribers from my old WordPress.com site to a new one that is self-hosted (but still using the WordPress platform). I’ve done everything. I’ve posted to the forums. I get no response. From viewing the forums, I see that they have done this with other blogs who have NEWER requests that mine (and other people’s). Any ideas?
