How do I have my posts come up separately?
-
I am trying to change the look of our blog, but can’t figure out how to make each post it’s own separate page with the comments on the bottom. Please advise.

Please advise us as to the address of your blog, starting with http://
It’s hard to help without seeing the issue. That said, each post is a separate page, but your front page will list a designated number of them with the newest on top.

It is http://alpinepub.wordpress.com. We would like it to look more like http://retrieverman.wordpress.com for example.

Ok, I have figured out how to separate the posts. Now, how do I have the “comments” go at the end of the post?

I really don’t see the difference between the two, except for the latter having more pages showing up in the navigation bar at the top and also having more widgets in the sidebar. There’s really no magic involved in making alpinepub more like retrieverman.

Comments do not show on the main blog page. This is typical blog behavior and the main reason is to reduce clutter and make the posts easier to navigate. If you think about it, if you have posts that typically get 25 or 30 comments, it would require your visitors to do a lot of scrolling in order to see the next post. If, like a few blogs I visit, you get 100 or more comments per post, it would make the main page completely useless and turn visitors off.
There is one theme here that shows the comments on the main page, and that is P2. but again it isn’t’ a good thing for blogs that get a lot of comments.
On a typical blog, you click on either the post title or on the comments link if you wish to see the comments.

This is what I did:
I went to my Dashboard, and then I clicked the Settings tab at the bottom the left hand column. Then, it gives you a list of different Settings. Click “Reading,” and then you can set the number of post that appear on your blog at one time.
