how do I have two blogs, with two different avatars?

Hi, Can anyone please tell me how to keep the avatars different on my two blogs? I have one blog for writing stuff, and a different one for photos (had to take advantage of that new photo theme!) but when I chose a different avatar for the photo blog, it changed the one on the writing stuff blog too.
Is there some way around this?
Is there also some way to switch between the two blogs so that if I answer someone’s comment on “beyondbluestockings”, while logged into the “urban daisy” blog, my comment will come up as by beyondbluestockings, instead of the urban daisy one?
Sorry if these are really basic things, I just can’t work them out.
Help? Anyone?

You need two completely different IDs, each with its own unique email. You have to sign in and out, you can’t just tab between them.

Oooh. That’s bad news. Does that mean if I want to keep them separate, that I have to delete one, and start it over again?
Not that I want to shoot the messenger, I am so grateful for your reply, thank you Raincoaster, just disappointed to not see how to do this easily. I was kind of hoping it was something I had not worked out yet.

No. I have multiple different blogs with different user names. Create an email account somewhere like gmail or yahoo and use that to sign up for a new wp.com account. To my life easier I made my main account (katm) an administrator on my other blogs so I don’t have to log into the other accounts to write. You just change the author in the drop down box on the write page. As for commenting, you’ll have to log in and out of accounts. Or if you have just two blogs, use a different browser for each. For example, use IE for blog A and Firefox for blog B. Just open the browser that corresponds to the account you want to respond from.
Sorry if this doesn’t make a lot of sense….
