How do I hide the featured image?

Hello there. Just trying to edit my website. Still a bit to do. One thing I would like to do is hide the featured image on the pages, as I’m not a fan of having an image take up the whole screen before you get to the copy. I was advised that you can hide them, but I can’t find the option. Maybe it is an issue for this theme – Twenty Seventeen.
I do like the ability to add the pages with the feature images showing on my home page http://www.shiffter.com where the scrolling works fine, but just don’t want it to appear on the other pages.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Kam! I looked into your request and see you were able to get a couple of things done. First, you were able to find a CSS solution to hide the featured images, since your theme does not offer a built-in option hide them. That’s great!
