How do I hide the Google verfication page from my nav?
-
I have followed all the instructions but I cant get the search engine verfication pages to disappear from my top nav. When I use Appearance > Widgets > Pages > exclude it just adds the pages to the widget nav doesnt make them disappear. Why would it do that?
I tried making them private or as a parent even created a static page but the verified URL changed. Anyway else to hide them?
Do I just re-verify with the search engines under a new URL… (myname.wordpress.com/about/) or something? If I do do that will the search engine scan my whole site of just the about section?
Please help!

We normally need a link to your WordPress.com blog to answer technical questions. Since I can’t see what theme you are using, this reply is rather general.
If your verification page is a top level (parent) page, it will appear in your navbar. You can make it a child page of one of your other parent pages, then exclude it from the Pages widget if it gets displayed there. Resubmit to Google.

Make the verification page a post, backdate it to be your very first post. Delete the page. Works the same.
