How do I import a Blogger Blog into WP

  I’m following the steps but neither works. If I try to get authorization from within WP, I get an error message “The page you have requested cannot be displayed. Another site was requesting access to your Google Account, but sent a malformed request. Please contact the site that you were trying to use when you received this message to inform them of the error. A detailed error message follows: The site “http://wordpress.com” has not been registered.”

  But when I try to save an export form Blogger which WP could upload, it takes me to an RSS feed page and says “Safari could not update this feed because the source file is no longer available.” (yet all my Blogger posts are still available on the blog’s dashboard).

  Not sure what to do…

  It sounds like Blogger may have made some changes. We’ll look into this report. Could you please let us know the Blogger URL you are trying to import and confirm the URL of the WordPress.com blog you are trying to import into?

  The Blogger blog I want to export (or import directly into WP) is

  http://reaching-palawanos–bill.blogspot.com

  The WP blog I want to import into is

  billdavisthoughts.wordpress.com

  All righty, I’ve tested the Blogger importer and the online import option is not working. I have notified our developers about this problem.

  I also tested the Blogger export file and that option worked for me. Can you please save an export file from the Settings → Basic → Export option in your Blogger dashboard and then try importing it using the export file option at the bottom of the Tools → Import → Blogger page in your WordPress.com dashboard?

  Thanks.

  I have tried to export the file from Blogger. But it takes me to a blogger.com/feeds page and I get this error message:

  Safari could not update this feed because the source file is no longer available.

  So no file is saved that I can import into WP.

  That very strange. Would you please try one more time with another browser, like Chrome?

  Okay, I’ll try with Chrome or Firefox. I use those, but keep them logged onto different blog identities. Let me try that….

  Wow… cool. That worked! Chrome downloaded the XML file and WP imported it. So Safari was what was spazzing out there.

  Thanks! I feel like I should have thought of that and tried that already…

  …but at least we also were able to report the other Blogger issue.
