how do i import a wordpress blog to my own site?
-
I have a wordpress.com website and I am also being published on elephantjournal.com which is also a wordpress blog, but I cannot figure out how to post my pieces from elephant journal onto my own website … can’t I just use the link? I can use my own original copy and add my own graphic but I thought there would be a super easy way to just use the URL and have the elejournal one show up on my website.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Jean,
It sounds like what you’re looking for is the Reblog feature — but that would be up for Elephant Journal to enable for you to reblog it to your site.
Since that’s not an option, you’re left with posting to your blog and linking to Elephant Journal.
I’d recommend against doing full reposts of the content, as it confuses search engines trying to rank the original source of the post. If you post the same content in two places, it lowers the rank of both pages.
If the post is primarily for elephantjournal.com, I’d recommend making a post on your blog with a brief introduction like “I have a 5 part series starting today on ElephantJournal.com”, then a blockquote from the beginning of your piece, followed by a link to read the remainder of the post on elephantjournal.com.
That way your work still gets read, but you’re enhancing the ranking in search engines instead of pulling from it. Reblogging is an elegant way to get around this on WordPress.com blogs, but that doesn’t seem to be an option here.
Best,
