How do I import and install a theme from a third party for one of my websites?
-
I am trying to install a theme from Obox. I downloaded it to my Mac and followed Obox’s instructions but the prompts they told me would appear on the WordPress screen did not appear.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Themes can’t be uploaded to WordPress.com. That’s a feature of self-hosted blogs through WordPress.org. You can find out more about customizing your blog’s appearance here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/
You can also post suggestions for new themes we might add on our public user forum:

Ok, thank you so much. I was reading up on this today, and suddenly realized that might be the case. So I would have to transfer my blog to WordPress.org to use the Obox theme. Correct?

Yes, you would need to switch to a self hosted site using the WordPress software available at WordPress.org.
This guide will step you through the process of moving your blog to a self-hosted site:

As we only support blogs hosted here at WordPress.com, all issues with the new blog–including the importing of the file–must be taken to the WordPress.org support community:
If youd like assistance moving your WordPress.com blog to WordPress.org, we have a service called Guided Transfer that does all the work for you. Check it out to see if its right for you:

Take a look through those pages and let me know if you have any further questions. I’ll be happy to help.
