How do I import my followers back onto my old blog?
-
I recently transferred my blog url to a new one, but changed it back to the old url (fsco2o2.wordpress.com) but it didn’t import all my followers. How do I import my followers back onto my old blog?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

From what I read, I would need to contact support for this problem but it has led me here, I’m not sure how the above link would help me?

I’m sorry. I posted the wrong answer re: followers. From some reason I thought you meant content even though that’s not what you said. I apologize.
What are the URLs involved here?
Are you referring to two .wordpress.com URLs?
Are you referring to one .wordpress.com blog URL and one
wordpress.ORG install URL? -
I’m referring to two .wordpress.com urls, I wanted to import the followers from iamfsc.wordpress.com back to fsco2o2.wordpress.com

I’ll tag this thread and have Staff respond to you. Please subscribe to the thread so you are notified when they respond and please be patient while waiting.

I believe Staff only transfer followers from free hosted WordPress.com blogs to self hosted WordPress.org installs but I could be wrong.

Hi,
I have initiated a migration from iamfsc.wordpress.com to fsco2o2.wordpress.com for you. There may be a slight delay, after which if you do not see your Followers on your new blog, please let me know.

@evanwp
Hello there,
For clarity will you please let us Volunteers know if this transfer of followers by Staff will be standard practice for bloggers who change .wordpress.com blog URLs? The reason I am asking that is because we are experiencing bloggers who change blog .wordpress.com URLs as if they are changing socks, without purchasing site redirect upgrades. -
Hi,
It should be complete! You can see your followers on this page:
http://wordpress.com/my-stats/?blog=57791603&blog_subscribers&unit=1
-
We’ll help users migrate from WordPress.com to self-hosted blogs when they’re connected by Jetpack, as that is something they currently can’t do via the Dashboard.
For .com to .com URLs, users should really be using the Name Change Tool to handle that, anything we handle there would be rare and case-by-case.

Hi! I found this inquiry and am jumping in with a similar problem. Please, bear with me as I try to be brief and know that I have no clue about any of this kind of stuff. I imported my blog from cristalazulcostarica1.wordpress and lost all followers. so i bought domain for 1 and gave up. can i still import my followers, set up the same theme, all social links etc, and transfer the domain ownership, (i just did it this week) the cristalazulcostarica.wordpress therefor, deleting the 1 site? Thanks!

Hi! I found this inquiry and am jumping in with a similar problem.
Hi!
If you are certain you need a new blog, you can use the blog name change tool on your old blog that still has the subscribers, so that there is no need to move them. You can also add a custom domain to that site if you wish and avoid changing the name and losing existing links:

If you have more questions, please open a separate thread under your username so that we can assist!

Can I also have my subscribers imported to my wordpress.org blog?
My wordpress.com blog is wanderme.wordpress.com
My wordpress.org blog is iwandered.net
-
@ feelgoodblog – Sorry for the delay getting back to you about this! I transferred your followers to your blog at iwandered.net, as requested.
Your email followers will continue to receive email updates, and your WordPress.com followers will continue to see your new posts in the Reader. If your WordPress.com followers would like to receive email updates, as well, they can subscribe via email on your new blog.
Please let me know if you have any questions about that!
