How do I include subtitles in my posts
-
How can I add subtitles to my posts? I can’t seem to find it in the Gutenberg editor. I’m not sure if the subtitles is a feature exclusive only to paid plans.
The site I need help with is [visible only to staff] (email visible only to moderators and staff).

Hi there,
The WordPress software, including WordPress.com, doesn’t include a subtitle feature for posts. Posts by default only have a title field, and a content field.
If you’ve seen sites where they have a subtitle, they’re either using a plugin or a specific theme that adds that feature, or (and what you can do on a free WordPress.com site) they simply added a heading block as the very first block in the post content, so that will serve as a subtitle.

I see. I opted to use a heading block that serves as a subtitle (just as you mentioned) but it’s placed in between the post date. Even if I remove the post date, a noticeable gap takes place instead.
I was just hoping that something as basic as subtitles are available to the FREE plans.
Thanks!
