How do I indent?
-
I’m looking for a way to indent that won’t be destroyed if I don’t do it in code editor. I found an excellent way to do it using the code editor by using
and not using list item tags, but if I make a mistake and edit with the visual editor, I get a massive amount of unwanted whitespace from doing this.
Here is a practical example:
Under Kotetsu no Kyojin/Supergiant (Teruo Ishii, Akira Mitsuwa, Koreyoshi Akasaka, Akira Miwa, Chogi Akasaka, Tetsu Taguchi, 1956-1959), you will see that there is a subsection with a list of titles that go through 1959, after which the list resumes with the next item for 1956. I want to indent the subsection. How do I do this?

Hi there,
To indent your designated part, add a new block under
“Kotetsu no Kyojin/Supergiant (Teruo Ishii, Akira Mitsuwa, Koreyoshi Akasaka, Akira Miwa, Chogi Akasaka, Tetsu Taguchi, 1956-1959)” and then, paste the subsection part in the box, and click indent button, from Classic Editor. Here’s FYI
Classic Editor > Outdent/Indent

That doesn’t work. First, it makes a bunch of spacing I don’t want. Second, when I attempt to do the indent, that part of the menu no longer displays. Third, every adjustment I attempted to make either made the screen jump to the top of the 1950s list or delete all the text of the subsection.

Hi there,
Could you check the direction below?
As long as I tried it, I don’t see any events reported.
——————–
From your page editor, choose the page you would like to edit.
1. Click “Toggle block inserter”

2. Click Classic in TEXT section.

3. Make a new block under the the main title by clicking +(plus) button.
And then paste the subsection in the new block. Click the Increase Indent button.

By doing this, the subsection part will be an independent, not being affected by both of upper and lower section.
