    Hi there,

You can insert a download link to a PDF file into a page by following the instructions here: Uploading Documents

If you wish to embed the actual document into a post or page, you can use external services such as Scribd or
    Slideshare (optimized for presentation slides).

Please let me know if you have any questions about that!

Sorry, I’ve tried that many, many times. Each time the link ends up taking me to my computer’s Library folder of materials for the .pdf, but it does NOT display the actual .pdf. Now what?

If the link to the PDF is inserted into the page, when someone clicks on the link it will prompt them to view it in their browser or download the PDF file. (The exact behavior depends on your browser’s settings.) I see that you have a link to a PDF that is working properly here: http://jimkohn.wordpress.com/about/130-2/

If you’d like the content of the PDF displayed on the page on your blog, rather than a link to download the file, you’ll need to embed it with an external service such as Scribd or Slideshare.

If that’s still not working for you, can you send me a link to a page where it’s not working? I’d be happy to take a closer look!

Thanks for the tip about the browser. I see that IE and Chrome do a better job of loading the pdf than Mozilla, so I will go with those browsers in the future for WordPress.
