  I built a theme and I am now trying to install it in wordpress. how do i do this?

  Hi. If you are using WordPress.com, you cannot install themes. Please read this:

  If you are not sure whether you are using WordPress.com or WordPress.org, please confirm the URL of the blog you are asking about, starting with http:// please.
