How do I install wordpress plugins on my blog?

    I need to get a SoundSlides demo slideshow up on my blog. http://wordpress.org/plugins/soundslides/installation/

    I’ve downloaded this, but no effect can be seen on my wordpress blog. I get a zip folder with information that I don’t have a clue what to do with.

    What can I do?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    It is not possible to install plugins on WordPress.com, for security reasons. Plugins can only be installed on self-hosted WordPress blogs. If you are wondering how WordPress.com differs from WordPress.org, this support article explains the distinction:
