How do I install/use permalinks?

    Hi guys,

    Absolute newb here!

    I’ve just setup a wordpress account and purchased a domain name and want to use the permalinks feature. I couldn’t find this in the menu, so i realised I had to download it, which i have done…but what do i do from here? I’m literally baffled!

    You cannot change permalink structure on a free hosted wordpress.com blog. There is no FTP access and no blogger installed plugin capability on free hosted WordPress.com blogs.

    There is no upgrade you can purchase here that provides FTP access and the ability to install plugins and or any third party themes and/or change permalink structure. If you want FTP access and to install plugins or third party themes then you will have to hire a web host and set up your own WordPress.org install.
