How do I invite people to read my blog, and how to make it look more interesting

  Hi all,

  I am VERY new to this blogging lark, and whilst I started writing a blog because I always have tons going on in my head I want to ‘download’, it strikes me that apart from the therapeutic benefit of geting things out of my head and written down, I would be a lot happier if people actually READ my ramblings?
  So, how do I go about trying to have people even being aware that my blog exists?

  I’ve tried the help pages, but I can’t seem to find the right responses. Any ideas..please??

  Also, if I look at other blogs from time to time, they look like professionally created websites, rather than a lengthy narrative, which mine presently resembles.

  Any thoughts please?
