How do I invite viewers or followers without having them create new user account

    none of my friends or family have wordpress accounts but I would like them to follow or be viewers without having to create a new account.

    Folks who don’t have a WordPress.com account can still receive your new posts by email.

    You can invite them by sending them an email message with an introduction and a link to your site – blind-cc’ing them would be the best bet if you’re sending a mass email.

    At the top right of your site, they will see a box where they can enter their email address to receive updates by email:
