How do I keep my own views out of my stats? My views are being counted
-
I am almost certain that my own visits to by blog are being counted in my stats. I tested it today by logging into wordpress and then my dashboard and, each time, the count went up by one and the “referred by wp dashboard” count went up by one. I don’t think this can be a coincidence. Can you please help me be able to look at the blog, make changes, and check stats without being counted? I very much want my numbers to reflect visits by other people. Thank you so much.

If your blog is public, your views won’t be counted. They’re only counted when your blog is set as private.

Macman…my blog is public, but my views are still being counted. I logged in 10 times in a row yesterday and, each time, the count went up by one. Can you please help me with this? I am using the theme Elemin, but I am still within the 30-day period to get a refund. I would like to continue with this theme if we can work out this problem. Thanks.

Well, it won’t be theme-specific.
I noticed that you have a mapped domain. Do you have third-party cookies enabled?

If not, enable third-party cookies, logout, then login again.

If you mean to enable third party cookies in Firefox, I checked and that is already enabled. Any other suggestions as to how I can stop my views from being counted in the stats? It is still happening. Thanks.

Can you please try clearing your cookies and cache?
