How do I keep the main page?
-
I want my first post on the main page all the time despite of its being demote as of date. But the page I post is for first article as to why I need it to be read before anything? Thanks in advance.

Either put that information into a text widget and put it at the top of a sidebar (if it isn’t too long) or you are going to have to edit the timestamp on the post you want at the top of the blog every time you make a new post.

Just for clarification, are you trying to keep the first post you ever made on the home page? Why not place the content of the post in the header section. Is there a particular reason the actual post has to appear or is this just a personal preference?

@misterviddy, at wordpress.com we do not have access to the underlying theme or wordpress files so this isn’t possible unless one wanted to put it into the header image or something.

I’m trying to change our main page entitled “About Us”. This must be stored somewhere as a literal, but I cannot find it.
How do I change the main page?
Thanks.

You have no posts; you have only static pages, with this set as your front page: http://arttalkers.wordpress.com/
That has been titled “About Us.” Is that not what you want? What do you want?

My mistake; you do have posts. But having your About Page be at your main blog address really makes navigation difficult. I’d recommend putting the About page on a separate page and making the main blog your front page. After all, most of your readers don’t need to read the introduction every time they come to the blog.
