How do I keep Widget settings for each new post without deleting their content?
-
Hi All,
Very new to all this, so speak slowly and keep your hands where I can see them. :-)
I’m wondering how I can set up a suite of widgets in my secondary sidebar that will bascially be the same each post, yet “clear” the content in them each item for new stuff without thereby deleting it from the prior post, which I’d like to stay up in its archived form.
Do I need to set up a parent page or template page with empty widgets and point each new post to it?
(Using Mystique theme.)
Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Can you show us an example of what you’re talking about? I can’t make out if you’re just talking about what the Recent Posts widget does automatically or what.

Absolutely–sorry, should have thought to do that in the question.
Take a look at:
http://earthwatchunlocked.wordpress.com/2012/03/02/wwtt/I’d like to keep this general layout as the template for each new blot post, with the ability to change the specific content (images and text) showing up in the sidebar widgets. But I want the ones I’ve chosen for THIS post to stick around with this post, even as I change them up for the next post. Does that make sense?
Thanks!
