How do I Know RSS Feed Is working?

    Hi,

    I set up a blog last July and wordpress as changed their format so I feel like I’m back to aquare one but… happily blogging along. How do I set up a RSS feed so that:
    1. regular subscribers can get e-mail updates from me when I write a post
    2. do I need to use feedburner- if not what is the benefit of using wordpress RSS?
    3. Everytime I click on my RSS Feed it doesn’t do anything- it used to go to a page where I sign up.

    theMagins.wordpress.com is working just fine but it’s in the old format and I am using feedburner. I can;t figure out what URL to use from Feedburner as I’ve tried the suggested in the RSS widget that asks for the feed URL.
